Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer hardware and networking equipment. Your expertise in equipment repair, computer repair, and mechanical / Electrical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and networking equipment at customer sites
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
Create and maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including service reports and equipment records
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in computer hardware and networking technologies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
