The Role:
The Surveillance Manager is a key member of the casino's security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the establishment and its guests.
The role requires the successful candidate to develop and implement surveillance policies and procedures that comply with the casino's security strategy.
They will manage a team of surveillance operators, oversee surveillance equipment and monitoring techniques, and collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate potential risks to the casino.
The Surveillance Manager will maintain accurate and detailed records of all surveillance activities and investigations, conduct periodic audits of the surveillance department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop and implement training programs for surveillance operators to identify potential security threats.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The role requires expertise in using surveillance equipment, knowledge of surveillance and security systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement surveillance policies and procedures that comply with the casino's security strategy.
Monitor surveillance footage to detect suspicious activity and potential security threats and ensure that proper actions are taken to address such incidents.
Collaborate with other departments, including security and gaming operations, to identify and mitigate potential risks to the casino.
Manage and lead the surveillance team, including setting expectations, providing coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all surveillance activities and investigations and provide regular reports to senior management regarding the status of the surveillance department and any potential security risks.
Ensure that all surveillance equipment is properly maintained and always functioning and coordinate with the facilities team to make necessary repairs or replacements.
Develop and implement training programs for surveillance operators to ensure they can identify potential security threats and maintain a comprehensive training record for each employee.
Conduct periodic audits of the surveillance department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and take appropriate actions to address any deficiencies.
Technical Requirements:
Expertise in using surveillance equipment, such as cameras, recorders, and software, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain such equipment.
Knowledge of surveillance and security systems and technologies, including access control, alarm systems, and fire suppression systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyse data and develop actionable insights using data analytics tools and software.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveillance or security management, preferably in a casino or gaming environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong leadership and management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
