Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and guide our financial decision-making. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the company. They will be a key member of the leadership team and will have a significant impact on the company's strategic direction, financial health, and business operations.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Lead the overall financial operations of the business, including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax, and other financial planning activities. Ensure consistent achievement of financial targets and regulatory compliance. Implement processes and systems to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance.

  • Budget Preparation: Prepare and present annual budgets as per the objectives set by the Board. Monitor budget implementation and financial performance, reviewing and discussing required deviations to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Financial Leadership: Provide financial leadership to all business unit stakeholders and business enablement functions. Ensure appropriate financial discipline is applied throughout the business to achieve expected ROIs.

  • Forecasting and Expenditure Approval: Prepare comprehensive and accurate financial forecasts based on information and budgets. Review and approve respective expenditure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial health.

  • Market Analysis: Prepare studies and reports on external, internal, and financial conditions that could impact the company’s operations. Use this analysis to guide decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Audit Management: Work closely with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit. Maintain relationships with audit firms and coordinate all audit activities.

  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee the company’s cash flow management strategy. Deliver and interpret financial statements and other necessary reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding of the company's financial health.

  • Asset and Investment Management: Manage the company’s assets and investments effectively. Develop strategies to maximize ROI and support the company’s financial objectives.

  • Quarterly/Annual Reporting: Coordinate with stakeholders on the preparation and issuing of the company’s Quarterly and Annual Report, ensuring it accurately represents the company’s financial position and performance.

  • Team Leadership: Establish a positive relationship with all team members, inspiring them to reach their full potential. Handle all people-related matters in the Finance Department, including interviewing and training new staff, conducting appraisals, addressing issues, and delegating tasks.

  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute significantly to business strategy and operational optimization initiatives. Establish and maintain solid internal cost control and risk management systems.

  • Operational Analysis: Analyze operations to identify areas for optimization of cost structure and profitability. Identify opportunities for business expansion and guide the strategic direction of the company.

  • Business Strategy: Use financial insights to devise and drive an agenda around business strategy. Be actively involved in management committees, providing strategic financial input and leadership.

  • Departmental Management: Take full responsibility for matters related to the Finance Department. This includes interviewing and training new staff, undertaking appraisals, dealing with team issues, and delegating tasks to staff members.

  • Governance: Participate in high-level operational initiatives, including infrastructure design, process re-engineering, cost containment, productivity enhancement, and organizational development. Ensure the company’s financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.

  • Company Representation: As a Director of the company, represent the company with clients, investors, financial institutions, auditors, public officials, and other external parties. Present the company's strategies and financial performance in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory law and regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns, reports, and other financial documentation as required. Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.

  • Risk Management: Oversee the implementation of effective risk management strategies and processes. Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements in conjunction with the relevant departments.

  • Board Meetings: Attend and contribute to board meetings. Provide the board with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the company. Ensure that the board is fully informed about the company's financial position to aid in decision-making.

  • Company Policies: Review and update company policies related to finance and accounting, ensuring they align with current laws, regulations, and best practices. Oversee the implementation of these policies across the organization.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent communication with shareholders, the board, employees, and other stakeholders. Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of the financial status and strategic direction of the company.

  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess the success of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Ensure the achievement of financial objectives in line with the strategic plan.

 Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. An MBA, CPA, or similar qualification would be a plus.

  • At least 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.

  • Prior executive finance experience within the iGaming industry or similar digital businesses is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of performance marketing and affiliation would be advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
